Role:
Office 365 Collaboration Tools Technician
This position will enable the implementation of Office 365 technologies by contributing to key dependency projects and collaborating with existing internal staff in order to allow the continuation of normal operations of the existing infrastructure and services while preparing and making the transition.
Main responsibilities:
End User Solutions consists of the end-user environment including Workstations, Mobile Devices, Windows Servers, Management Tools and Virtualization Platforms.
The position is responsible for delivering Office 365 solutions through the execution of strategic projects.
These projects and activities are:
Formulate migration strategy and plans
- Assess the existing on-premise infrastructure and determine options to migrate content/accounts to Office 365, making the relevant technical detailed plans in order to succeed.
Establish an Office 365 Standard
- Conduct and analyse the risk assessment in the area of Office 365, for OneDrive, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online and formulate the Standard and Controls to ensure the risks are properly treated.
Manage and maintain dependencies in the existing platforms
- Perform updates to the existing on-premise platforms to ensure security compliance and provide functional changes where required
- Test and deploy any required new infrastructure to support the Office 365 pre-requisites
- Assess and update the relevant standards and control documents for the existing collaboration products and related hardware and software solutions.
