On-Prem DevOps Engineer (Docker & Kubernetes) - London - £450 -£550 per day
(Remote working initially due to lockdown)
JNC are working closely with a leading global organisation that is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team on a contract basis who has extensive On Prem experience. .
The DevOps Engineer will join a progressive, creative and exciting environment where they will have the opportunity to work with some of the latest technologies on the market.
Candidates without On Prem Devops and Docker/Kubernetes experience will not be considered.
Essential Experience:
- At least 4 years DevOps experience.
- Extensive Bare metal Servers setup experience
- Expert level skills with Docker and containerization technologies. (On Prem)
- Strong skills with orchestration tools like Kubernetes. (On Prem)
- Strong Scripting skills with Bash
- Strong System operations and administration experience with Linux (centOS)
- Extensive application deployment life cycle experience. (Design, Build, Test and Deploy)
- Programming skills with Java, JavaScript or Node.JS.
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of Ansible, Nagios and Grafana is desirable.
- Knowledge of Virtualization (VMware and Hypervisors)
Key Responsibilities:
- Standard DevOps responsibilities.
- Help define and implement the organizations key containerization technology strategies.
- Build, scale and monitor the organisations various applications and make their container orchestration cluster highly available.
- Manage and deploy CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain the organisations highly available systems on Kubernetes on prem.
- Implement and improve application monitoring and alerting.
