Project Description:
We are seeking an experienced OneTrust Senior Engineer (contractor) to support a DSAR automation project for a major enterprise client. The project involves integrating a significant number of applications into OneTrust DSAR module using Targeted Data Discovery (TDD) to automate data subject identification, data collection, and support for portability/access rights. This is a remote-first engagement based in the Czech Republic with an expected duration of 6–12 months, starting no later than July 2026.
The final scope of integrations is currently being defined by the client, with an anticipated full-time contractor role supported by client-provided project management and coordination.

Location: Czech Republic - Prague (ocasional visit in Prague is welcomed)
Duration: 6–12 months (depending on final project scope)

English and Dutch (required): technical documentation, OneTrust platform interaction, vendor communication

Job Responsibilities:
Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize OneTrust DSAR module and Targeted Data Discovery (TDD) to meet enterprise requirements
Integration Design & Implementation: Design and implement integrations between OneTrust and diverse target applications, including enterprise group systems, custom applications, and cloud platforms
Custom Connector Development: Develop custom connectors where pre-built connectors are not available, supporting REST, SOAP, JDBC/ODBC, and other integration protocols
Automated Workflow Configuration: Set up and optimize automated data discovery workflows for data subject identification and data collection
Application Assessment: Assess and classify target applications by integration complexity and recommend appropriate integration approaches (pre-built connector, custom API, or database query)
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with application owners to understand integration requirements and ensure successful OneTrust integration
Quality Assurance: Test, troubleshoot, and optimize all integrations to ensure reliability and performance
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create comprehensive technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with the client team
Independent Execution: Work independently with minimal supervision in a single-developer setup, with PM and coordination support provided by the client
Scope Note: Changes to target applications are the cliens responsibility. This role focuses exclusively on the OneTrust platform and the integration layer to external applications.
Must Have Skills:
OneTrust Platform Expertise:
  1. Hands-on experience with the DSAR/Privacy Rights Automation module
  2. Proficiency with Targeted Data Discovery (TDD), including connector configuration and custom integrations
  3. Experience with Integration Hub and workflow configuration
  4. Proven track record of delivering OneTrust integration projects at enterprise scale

Privacy & Compliance Knowledge:
  1. Strong understanding of GDPR data subject rights (access, portability, erasure, rectification)
  2. Knowledge of privacy regulations and data protection frameworks
  3. Integration & API Development:
  4. Demonstrated experience with API integration (REST, SOAP, JDBC/ODBC)
  5. Ability to develop custom connectors and integrations
  6. Experience assessing and classifying applications by integration complexity

Enterprise Application Experience:
Working knowledge of diverse application landscapes: SaaS, on-premise, legacy, and enterprise platforms (SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
Experience in large enterprise and corporate group environments with complex application landscapes

Professional Competencies:

Certifications:
  1. OneTrust Certified Professional (any relevant OneTrust certification)
  2. CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist) or equivalent privacy/data protection certification
  3. Other relevant industry certifications in data privacy or integration management

Additional Technical Experience:
  1. Experience with data mapping and data lineage tools
  2. Familiarity with ITSM platforms and incident management workflows
  3. Background in data governance or data quality initiatives
  4. Experience with additional privacy platforms or consent management systems
  5. Project Experience:
  6. Previous involvement in large-scale digital transformation projects
  7. Experience managing multiple concurrent integrations
  8. Track record of mentoring junior engineers or knowledge transfer activities
