Project Details: My client, an out of hour's healthcare provider, is currently looking for an Operations Manager, to join their senior team. They operate within the Midlands providing primary, out of hour's urgent care across multiple sites. They are looking for an experienced manager level, urgent care, specialised candidate who is immediately available.
As the Operations manager you will be required to lead, manage and develop a culture and environment of high quality and safe care that can be consistently delivered across each site. You will be required to work closely with the Clinical Manager to develop contingency plans to ensure that any major or minor incidents can be dealt with, meeting the organisation high expectations.
You will be required to provide professional leadership to both the Assistant Operations Manager and Operations Support Officer, as well as other operational staff within the service, whilst holding responsibility for recruitment, performance, appraisals and any employment issues across the whole operational staff groups.
You will have responsibility for ensuring implementation of new practices and developments within the service and also to develop and maintain SOP ensuring that the service procedures are clear, and to identify ways of improving the efficiency of the service.
Due to the nature of the organisation's operating hours, you will also be required to work night shifts, including weekend working throughout the winter period to ensure high quality care is provided consistently. You will also be required to commute to each site regularly to ensure that each site consistently delivers the same quality of care to its patients.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to diversify themselves into an out of hour's service, and develop their experience of managing multiple site organisations, within an urgent care specialty.
To be considered for this role you must have the following experience:
- Significant managerial experience, specifically focused around an urgent care directorate.
- Significant experience of workforce management and the ability to lead, manage and engage staff across a large geographic location and
- Flexibility to work unsociable hours including weekends and night shifts.
- A valid driving licence.
