For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a OPS Engineer
Our client is revamping its entire Contact Center solution from a traditional on-premise based to a fully cloud-based solution that needs to scale globally. In order to achieve that we have created 4 teams, one of which is the Utilities team which you'll be working in as Ops Engineer. The utilities squad will be mainly responsible for selecting, implementing and integrating several off-the-shelf applications that will be supporting the Contact Center 2.0 solution.
Job description OPS Engineer (COTS) (QR4114)
As Ops Engineer it will be your responsibility to implement and integrate several off-the-shelf solutions. You will be working in a highly complex IT environment so it is a big plus if you already have banking experience. You are hands-on in doing quick Proof of concepts with standard commercial off the shelf products/solutions and documenting/presenting the differences. You will be working together with a Business Analyst and will need to support him selecting the off-the-shelf solutions in order to meet the needs of the ContactCenter 2.0 solution.
Being a part of the utilities team, you will be responsible for implementing the right solutions for :
- Recording solution for voice/video/chat (on-premise)
- Workforce management
- Speech recognition
- Automated dialer
Your work environment OPS Engineer (COTS) (QR4114)
Within the utilities squad, you will be responsible for multiple customer facing products. We expect from all our engineer to put the customer first. Make it happen and take responsibility. Our client achieve this by using the newest, open source technologies (i.e. Scala, Cassandra, Kafka) to deliver features as quick as possible. Since the off-the-shelf products must integrate with these technologies, we expect a passionate interest in new technologies of our engineers.

You are a driven IT specialist with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. You are ambitious and set competitive goals for yourself and your team, you bring positive energy and a make it happen attitude to the team. You have very good social and communication skills. You feel a personal responsibility for the quality of your work and its reliability, and you work well together with your colleagues within and beyond your own domain. You are capable of working under tight deadlines and can deal with stressful situations in a professional manner. In the past you have acquired quality experience working in a highly agile environment.
Skills and experience OPS Engineer (COTS) (QR4114)
Experience:
- Experience as an ops engineer is mandatory. Experience with third party products is preferred.
- Experience in one of the mentioned products is preferred.
- A minimum of four years professional experience, relevant for or comparable to this job
Required skills OPS Engineer (COTS) (QR4114) :
- Fluent in both English and Dutch, in speaking and writing
- Analytical skills, needed for incident resolution (root cause analysis)
- Hand-on approach to quickly create PoCs
- Analytical skills and drive to improve the way we work
