Description
Oracle DBA - Belgium - 12 Month Contract - 425 per day
Provide operational support for databases according to my Clients Global Database Technical Services SLA commitment
This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Take part in day to day operational activities: break-fix and requests
- Incident, request, and change management
- Performance Tuning
- Database installation and administration
- Perform backup/recovery procedures
- Implement patches
- Administer and implement procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database environment
- Involvement in On Call rotation
- Write, review, and use team documentation to maintain a standard environment
- You should have experience in the following,
- Minimum of 10 years Oracle database administration experience
- Experience supporting Oracle 10g and 11g environments
- Working knowledge in Oracle Real Application Clustering, Dataguard, Grid, OND
- Experience implementing and supporting RMAN backup and recovery
- Able and willing to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation as required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including fluency in English
- Able to effectively participate in a virtual, globally distributed team with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills, including cultural awareness
- Solid understanding of infrastructure components (Servers, storage, network)
- Strong customer service skills
This position is based in Mechelen in Belgium.
