Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK.
We are currently recruiting an Oracle Financial Accountant for an initially 3 month contract based in Manchester.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the existing Finance Systems team to identify and deliver efficiencies, standardisation and automation to reduce manual interventions.
- Engage with and influence senior stakeholders across various work streams/functions including Finance, HR and IT
- Review and make recommendations on current reporting processes
- Ensure the right controls/documentation are in place
- End to end process mapping and documentation of reporting
Skills/Experience
- The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Expert technical knowledge of Oracle Financials and Wand is essential
- An understanding of financial and accounting processes - an accountancy qualification (CIMA,CIPFA,ACCA, AAT) would be desirable
- Demonstrable experience of implementing and championing process improvement
- Excellent stakeholder engagement/management skills with the ability to build strong relationships quickly and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
