OSS Delivery Head / Program Director (Execution-Led Role)

Role Expectation

This role is accountable for end-to-end OSS delivery across multiple domains in a complex environment. The focus is execution ownership, closure discipline, operational control, and measurable delivery outcomes.

The role leads multiple delivery managers (5+ streams) and is accountable for delivery predictability, financial discipline, operational stability, and cross-domain execution closure.
This is a hands-on execution leadership role requiring strong intervention capability, decision-driving behavior, and ability to convert fragmented delivery inputs into validated, action-closed outcomes.
A critical expectation is AI-driven execution, using AI as a practical lever to improve productivity, automate operational workflows, and accelerate delivery cycles across OSS programs.

Must-Have Experience
  1. 15–25 years in IT / telecom delivery leadership roles
  2. Strong OSS delivery or OSS transformation experience
  3. Proven experience in large SI-managed delivery environments (mandatory)
  4. Hands-on leadership of multiple delivery managers / domain leads (5+ streams)
  5. Strong experience in:
  6. Agile / SAFe / DevOps delivery environments
  7. Vendor and third-party ecosystem management at scale
  8. OSS ecosystem (Run, Build, Config, Operations lifecycle)
  9. Proven ability to:
  10. drive execution across complex multi-stream programs
  11. resolve cross-domain dependencies
  12. enforce action closure (not limited to tracking)
  13. manage delivery risks and escalations end-to-end
  14. Strong commercial awareness:
  15. cost control
  16. delivery efficiency
  17. margin protection
  18. Demonstrated use of AI in delivery execution (productivity, automation, operational improvement)

Key Role Expectations
  1. Drives closure of actions across OSS domains (not limited to tracking/reporting ownership)
  2. Actively intervenes in execution breakdowns and restores delivery momentum
  3. Ensures leadership receives validated, decision-ready information
  4. Resolves cross-domain dependencies without escalation dependency
  5. Ensures governance is action-driven, not reporting-driven
  6. Maintains delivery predictability and operational stability
  7. Applies commercial discipline to prevent inefficiencies and margin leakage
  8. Uses AI as a default execution lever to improve efficiency and cycle time
