Although we’re a fairly small association, our goal is to grow a communications and IT team that can create some of the most engaging and effective websites in the nonprofit world.
Qualifications
Technical. You need to be able to do the following:
- Develop responsive websites with HTML5 and CSS3. Our members are heavy users of mobile devices, and expect a smooth and modern mobile experience.
- Design and extend WordPress templates. We use WordPress for all our websites.
- Work effectively using the command line. We use Macs on the desktop and Linux servers in the cloud, so command line tools that test and deploy websites are a key part of our workflow.
- Manage web development projects – build a shared understanding of goals, estimate time and costs, communicate progress and obstacles.
- Some familiarity with Bootstrap 3, Sass/SCSS, Bower, grunt, git, and similar web development tools would be an advantage
