PHP Developer required for a 6 month contract in Liverpool to work on a Greenfield project.My expanding digital client has space for an experienced PHP Developer for a 6 month contract, working on what is one of the best Greenfield projects and Development environments in the North of the UK.
Role:
As a PHP Developer you will be expected to bring a background of delivery in PHP Development and having worked in teams of Developers previously. My client pride themselves on being a leader in technologies and methodologies such as: Agile, Object Orientated Programming (OOP), Design patterns and Unit testing.
You will report directly to the Technical Project Manager and IT Manager providing regular updates and advise. You will be expected to:
- Code, advise and potentially train members of staff in PHP
- Lead and contribute to regular Agile / SCRUMS
- Interact with and share ideas within the Development team
- Bring knowledge and consultant on Unit Testing and Version control tools
- Report directly to the IT manager and Project Manager
Skills required:
- You must have had experience with PHP5 as an absolute minimum
- Having worked with MYSQL on a number of occasions, covering DBA, Optimisation and SQL Join types is essential
- To contribute to best practice you must have worked with Development teams previously and integrated, ideally led Agile / Scrums and Test Driven environments
- At least 2 years recent experience of Object Orientated Programming
- Usage of GIT Version control
- Have worked with and able provide an accurate knowledge of Design Patterns
