Job description:
As a Senior Power BI Expert and Lead Developer , you will spearhead the development and implementation of Power BI initiatives across the organization, fostering a data-driven culture. This role involves building a robust Power BI practice, leading community activities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, insightful analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Foundation Building: Establish best practices, create guides, and develop training modules to enhance Power BI proficiency.
• Community Leadership: Mentor citizen developers and coach Power BI developers to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Excellence in Analytics: Initiate and manage a dedicated Power BI Center of Excellence, driving continuous learning and innovative solutions.
• Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with various business units to assess their reporting needs and develop actionable Power BI dashboards.
• Legacy Migration: Lead the transition from old reporting systems to a modern Power BI architecture.
• Report Development: Design and develop clear, impactful reports to provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
• Data Transformation: Work closely with the Data Factory team to refine and interpret raw data into meaningful analytics.
• Operational Support: Offer expert advice on maintaining and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Process Improvement: Analyze and improve processes continuously, leveraging data for enhanced decision-making.
• Training and Empowerment: Enable citizen developers to create their reports and foster a culture of self-service analytics.
• Quality Assurance: Review and ensure the quality of reports developed both internally and externally, adhering to set standards.
• Roadmap Management: Work with users, vendors, and stakeholders to develop and maintain roadmaps for system enhancements and resolutions.

Requirements:
• Experience: At least 10 years in roles such as BI and reporting lead developer, team lead, community lead, product owner, or BI solution architect.
• Agile Methodologies: Proficient in Scrum, Kanban, and Confluence.
• Power BI Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of Power BI tools, admin portal, Gateways, DataFlows, Premium Capacities, DAX, etc.
• Azure BI Understanding: Strong familiarity with Azure Enterprise BI Solution Architecture, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services, Databricks, DataVerse; SAP BW/BW4 experience is a bonus.
• Analytical Skills: Proficient in various analytical techniques such as use cases, scenario development, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Migration Expertise: Experienced in developing and implementing migration plans and methodologies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent proficiency in Dutch, French, and English.
• Detail-Oriented: Methodical, organized, and meticulous in approach.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to challenges.

Engagement: Onsite at least 2 days per week
