As a Principal analyst, you will be responsible for identifying trends, creating visual presentations, and writing research reports to support coverage of both global and individual markets for Future of Work (Workplace) – Solutions and Services study. You are expected to be an experienced researcher, as well as an excellent author, experienced in identifying established and emerging IT and business trends. You will be expected to predict market and related IT/business spending for the for Future of Work (Workplace) – Solutions and Services market and be viewed as a thought leader. You must be confident on stage, in boardrooms and on web-based events. You must be prepared to provide quote and other materials for the media.Role & Responsibilities
• Coordinate / align research efforts with all other applicable regions – the role as Regional Lead will require interactions with client advisors on the Quality and Consistency Review & Quality Team (QRCT) to integrate their points of view. The QCRT involvement ensures advisors in the field influence the research studies.
• Work with project managers and other study team members for acceptance and approval of schedule and content changes.
• For each study topic, leverage knowledge gained and experience with the relevant regional providers/vendors as well as the multi-national providers/vendors with regional practices to ensure the quadrant positionings are consistent with the other regions.
• Lead the research effort for a region and maintain end-to-end responsibility for the content of the quadrant reports.
• Join ceremony events in which services provider positions are recognized in person/or virtual.
• Support the publicity of studies in the introductory phase and accompanying the selling phase with at least one blog post or similar within social media channels such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
• Ensure a cross-regional consistency check of the regional deliveries.
Required Skillsets
• Knowledge of the for Future of Work (Workplace) – Solutions and Services from the perspective of service providers / system integrators offering implementation and integration services to enterprises across industries in the Germany and Switzerland
• Experience in primary/secondary research or consulting projects, ideally with a leading research analyst firm. Career changers from strategic IT roles such as CIO or IT management or purchasing are also possible.
• Demonstrated experience, interest and aptitude in technology and analytics – primarily towards topics alongside the digital transformation agenda and related domains.
• Interpreting corporate financials and experience with data modeling / analysis is helpful.
• Business acumen in the context of digital transformation and derivations for business models and GTM strategies of Providers.
• Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of software applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams. Working experience with analytic capabilities using functions such as Power Query, PowerBI, etc. is a plus.
• Proven written and oral communications skills in English.
• Ability to learn quickly and a strong record of leadership in a work setting or extracurricular activities primarily in a team environment; experience as a self-starter and working with varying degrees of direction.
• Experience with IT benchmarking is helpful.
