Principal DevSecOps Engineer- Contract

I am actively recruiting for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to start a 6 month contract with a leading client in the Insurance industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly respected Development team.

The role is remotely based with 1 day of travel per month onto client site. The role is paying up to £700/day and Inside IR35.

This role is responsible for leading the implementation of the engineering DevSecOps strategy while creating and establishing a DevSecOps profession, encompassing the design, delivery, review and evolution of the processes that the engineering team follow.

You'll be a key part of the engineering senior team, supporting the team on best practices for evolving and improving our code base to deliver solid DevSecOps practices with a cloud first deployment strategy. You will be supporting other teams across engineering, data, QA and UI engineering will be vital to securing good outcomes.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience in the field of software engineering in .net with operations and security focus.
• Excellent Knowledge of conducting security checks (static and dynamic code analysis, vulnerability analysis in applications and penetration tests, security component analysis).
• Extensive Experience in automation in testing using tools such as Selenium.
• A Strong understanding of the Azure platform and deployment technologies that it supports.
• High level of experience with IaC tools- Ideally Terraform. Bicep or Ansible will be suitable also.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (ideally Azure DevOps) and demonstrable understanding of methodologies
• Experience with OWASP Testing v3/4 and the OWASP Top 10.
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigations across web, mobile and data applications.
• Knowledge and experience across the following:
• Design patterns
• Git version control
• Agile development using Scrum
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Able to lead and develop a group of enthusiastic engineers located globally.
• Ability to work across multiple, complex product domains.
