PROGRAMME OFFICE LEAD/PMO Analyst - £170 per day - Exeter - 6 month contract
A PROGRAMME OFFICE LEAD/PMO Lead is required by a leading financial services company in Exeter.
Role Profile:
To ensure visibility of spend and status across the portfolio and manage delivery of Programme Office Support capability across the portfolio.
Key Accountabilities:
Day to day management of the Programme Office Function in relation to delivering portfolio support
Providing support and guidance to project managers and programme managers at pre-inception, initiation & throughout the life cycle of the programme, ensuring common approach is adopted & sharing good practice.
Check adherence to strategy/programme objectives strengthening governance across the portfolio.
Production of financial and non-financial management information including core KPIs as agreed with Programme Office Manager
Identification of opportunities to continuously improve existing MI.
Delivery of small/medium projects or small pieces of change as agreed with Programme Office Manager or Portfolio manager.
Ensure core Programme Office tools are maintained with data integrity paramount.
Skills/Experience:
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Experience of working in a busy environment whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
- Good ability to continuously prioritise and adapt to a changing environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets
- Good understanding of the core PMO tools and importance of data integrity.
- Good understanding of project life cycle and impact of change.
