Project Engineer - FermentationOur biotech client is going through a rapid expansion phase at its site in Germany and is looking to scale up from being a small production site. Our client is bringing new products onboard and expanding current production and looking for candidates with excellent experience to support them with ongoing small projects.
Location: Düsseldorf, Germany
Duration: 12 months
Role and Responsibilities:
• Oversee various small engineering projects including new equipment, upgrades and maintenance - end to end.
• Oversee completion of FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, qualification and handover to production.
• Write technical and functional specifications for equipment.
• Advise on technical issues throughout the duration of the projects.
• Supervise the bids, tenders and the procurement of equipment to ensure these are followed through correctly.
• Work closely with QA and Regulatory Departments to drive GMP/FDA compliance.
• Help set up GMP and FDA compliant systems and processes.
Requirements:
• Pharmaceutical Project or Process Engineering background.
• Experience working in a biotech environment essential.
• Experience of small project management including testing, installation and CQV desired.
• Experience in fermentation with the following equipment desirable:
o Homogenisers
o Centrifuges
o Chromatography
o Primary Packaging (bottling)
• Able to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders from various different backgrounds
• Fluent English language essential.
