Description
Excellent Project Management contract opportunity within multinational Financial services/Insurance Corp (Dublin) - this position requires candidates whom have had not only ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) but also SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) experience.
ROLE:
- To successfully manage and implement IT application development project with a budget in a range of 300,000 EUR - 500,000 EUR.
- To work with IT Infrastructure and business units to prepare, deliver and test Business Continuity for key business applications including InvestPro
- To be responsible for the delivery of functional aspects of the project in order to implement major business, tactical and strategic change into business operational areas
- To be responsible for defining deliverables required to support the delivery of the project, to ensure that the ownership of deliverables is clearly assigned and that the required deliverables are produced to defined milestones and to the agreed standard of quality
- Manage all of the IT Infrastructure project deliverables for BCP project.
- To adopt internal software development life cycle minimum standards throughout each project
- To manage external vendors in support of project delivery
- Create a virtual project team comprising internal staff and external suppliers, and to set direction for the team to meet overall project goals and objectives.
EXPERIENCE;
- Demonstrable IT project management experience in the financial services sector, with a minimum of 2 years in the insurance sector
- Personally managed 5+ projects successfully involving a large amount of IT systems and technical changes
- Proven ability and track record in delivering IT Infrastructure projects
- IT Development experience/understanding
- Management of outsource vendors
- Ability to work on cross-functional multi-tasked projects, managing internal and external relationships
- Good knowledge of a project methodology
- Relevant IT qualifications or training
