QA Automation Test Lead

DESCRIPTION

The QA Automation Test Lead is responsible for ensuring that all testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology are applied as specified in all testing approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop Strategies and Plans to Support Automation for Corporate financial systems
• Create scripts and libraries from design docs, requirements docs, and documented test cases/test procedures for all financial applications
• Design and implement frameworks for automation test environment via HP tool suite
• Perform manual system tests when necessary
• Review and Prioritize Automated Testing
• Lead/coordinate Test Automation team effort
• Hands-on Development of Automated Tests
• Diagnose, debug, and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects..
• Conduct and participate in design and code reviews
• Quantify Value of Automated Testing Effort
• Perform defect coordination functions, ensuring that test defects are tracked to closure and that the defect repository is kept up-to-date with the current status
• Creation and distribution of test status metrics as required by the project
• Ensuring all testing results are easily accessible and understandable
• Support and Administer Test Lab environment
• Create & Maintain traceability Matrix
• Develop Customized Reports and Metrics via HP Quality Center or other proven tools

Qualifications

• Ability to identify and maintain test data
• Oracle eFinancials and QTP experience is essential to this role.
• Experience in automated testing start-up implementations a plus
• Demonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of a software application
• Proficiency in MainFrame and SQL Scripting
• Experience leading automated testing efforts
• Experience estimating test automation efforts
• Experience in developing automated tests using HP tool suite
• Experience customizing and administering HP Quality Center
• Knowledge and experience in Formal Qualification and/or User Acceptance Testing
• Solid knowledge of testing and test automation best practices
• Requirements Management & end to end traceability experience required
• Strong independent worker and excellent team player
• Highly customer focused
• Ability to interface at all levels
• Ability to mentor and coach testing staff
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills are essential
