QA TESTER (Lead)QA Tester / Lead QA Tester - Southampton - £35,000 - £45,000 doe plus benefits.
A fast growing internet delivery company experiencing rapid growth require a hands-on QA Tester to join their recently formed Quality Assurance team.
The key driver of the QA Tester will be to take quality and performance to the next level. As the QA Tester responsibilities will include running test reports, test co-ordination with on-going communication with Developers, Product Managers and the internal team.
Key responsibilities:
* Work alongside the Sprint team to develop project acceptance criteria.
* Define testing approaches across the business including unit, regression and automated.
* Maintain the QA functional mapping and test scripts.
* Implement automated testing for an online platform.
* Plan, co-ordinate, manage and then report on UAT.
* Production of test scripts for system testing and UAT.
* Carry out system testing.
* Perform and co-ordinate release testing.
* Build up relationships with stakeholders and consult with them throughout the life cycle.
Skills / experience:
* Previous experience of working with highly resilient, high availability systems.
* High capacity, high volume, high availability web service / software / servers.
* A proven track record of analysing and reporting on interactions between DBs, log files, servers, web and system applications.

* PHPUnit, Behat ( or BDD) - essential

* Java, Hudson, Ant, Jenkins, Maven - beneficial
* Apache benchmark - beneficial

The QA Tester will receive, and be encouraged, with continual career development and progression with a fast track to Test management.A salary dependent on experience can reach £45,000 plus benefits package. The QA Tester (Lead) will be based from modern offices in Southampton offering a host of other benefits.
