Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:+ Leading a team responsible for the management, development and continuous improvement of the integrated management system
+ Understand the application of the Health and Safety Work act 1974
+ Develop QHSE objectives in conjunction with senior managers
+ Conduct Health and Safety inspections
+ Ensure that all "assessments" as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed ar relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same
+ Establish key performance metrics and publish these on a regular basis
+ Analyze NCR's and rework data on an ongoing basis to identify trends and to work with other departments to put in place preventative actions to eliminate recurrence
+ Ensure a systematic process is applied to root cause analysis of non-conformance and ensure people are appropriately trained.
+ Ensure both poor and exemplary performance are identified and managed accordingly.
+ Ensure all team members receive a formal 12 month performance appraisal.
+ To advise and support the HSE representatives, in making sure that the committee takes ownership of the HSE Management Plan.
+ To support HSE representatives and other Safety related functions within the company.
+ Ensure that staff, subcontractors and visitors are inducted, as per the Safety Procedure on Induction and Training.
+ To ensure that Off-site operations are managed with due regard to company policy and procedures.
+ Ensure an effective calibration system is maintained.
+ Prepare periodic reports on progress with management plan and other reports for the Directors and management committee.
+ Maintain strong internal and external communications.
