About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Consultant / Solution Architect with deep expertise in Qualys VMDR, IT/OT Vulnerability Management, ServiceNow integration, and project leadership.
The consultant will lead the design and execution of a strategic vulnerability management initiative for a major industrial enterprise. The role combines solution architecture, OT security consulting, stakeholder management, and project delivery responsibilities across multiple manufacturing and datacenter environments. ?
Key Responsibilities
Qualys Solution Architecture
  • Design the target architecture for expanding the existing Qualys platform.
  • Define deployment models for Qualys Cloud Agents and Scanner Appliances.
  • Develop asset grouping, tagging, and vulnerability management strategies.
  • Define scanning policies and operational governance.
  • Create secure scanning approaches for critical production and OT environments.
  • Ensure alignment with network segmentation and Purdue Model requirements. ?
IT/OT Vulnerability Management
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide vulnerability management processes.
  • Assess industrial environments including ICS, SCADA, and manufacturing systems.
  • Define safe scanning practices for operational technology environments.
  • Support risk identification and remediation planning.
  • Ensure business continuity and production stability throughout implementation. ?
ServiceNow Integration
  • Design and implement Qualys-ServiceNow integration.
  • Configure CMDB mapping and asset relationships.
  • Establish vulnerability response and patch management workflows.
  • Align infrastructure, security, and operations teams around integrated processes. ?
Project Leadership
  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, resources, and risks.
  • Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Deliver regular executive and management reporting.
  • Drive implementation through completion and handover. ?
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
  • Produce architecture and operational documentation.
  • Develop implementation and operating procedures.
  • Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for Security Operations and Infrastructure Operations teams.
  • Support operational readiness and transition activities. ?
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, cyber security, or vulnerability management.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Qualys VMDR and Qualys Cloud Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Qualys Cloud Agents
  • Scanner Appliances
  • Scan policy configuration
  • Asset tagging and grouping
  • Vulnerability management best practices
  • Experience working within industrial OT/ICS environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Purdue Model and industrial network segmentation.
  • Experience with:
  • Datacenter infrastructure
  • Network security
  • Virtualization platforms
  • Firewall and DMZ architectures
  • Practical experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Security Operations (SecOps).
  • Solid understanding of patch management and remediation workflows.
Project & Consulting Skills
  • Proven track record leading complex security or infrastructure transformation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience facilitating technical and business workshops.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive and senior management stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a customer-facing consulting role.
Preferred Certifications
  • Qualys VMDR / VM Certification
  • CISSP
  • GIAC (GICSP preferred)
  • IEC 62443
  • ServiceNow CMDB Certification
  • ServiceNow SecOps Certification
  • PMP or PRINCE2
  • ITIL Foundation or higher
