QUANTITY SURVEYOR - TELECOMS
I am recruiting for Quantity Surveyors to work for a leading telecoms company on a contract basis. The position is based in Birmingham on an initial 6 month contract.
As the QS you will provide commercial and contractual support to deliver quantifiable reductions in construction costs associated with the telecoms network rollout.
Responsibilities include;
- Contract sum agreement life cycle
- Final account agreement life cycle
- Maintenance, updating of database systems/IT tools as required
- Meetings with suppliers
- Provision of cost and or contractual advice on an ad hoc basis
- Provision of regular and ad hoc reporting on site costs and supplier performance
Experience required;
- BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Affiliation to a relevant professional body
- Experience of quantity surveying with a recognised construction organisation from contractor or client side
- Telecoms background is preferable
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
