Real World Evidence Manager / Senior ManagerThe world of drug development is changing; the evolving external environment increases our need to deliver differentiated solutions to specific patient populations, enhance access to those solutions and better demonstrate their value to society.
To achieve this vision, we aim to maximize the value provided by "Real-World Data" (RWD) from the health care system. Thus, we and our external stakeholders will gain a deeper understanding of unmet needs in those patient populations and the realities of current clinical practice.
Your role summary
THE primary goal of this function is to provide scientific strategic support to RWE projects in early development.
You will help drive strategic internal decision-making thereby empowering differentiating R&D activities
support external decision making across multiple key stakeholders' groups such as policy makers, regulators, payers, prescribers and patients
contribute to the wider medical understanding of specific diseases and patient (sub-populations)
Critical to the role will be ensuring scientific publication of RWE studies adds maximum value to healthcare decision makers; application of the customer mindset and fundamentals of evidence based critical appraisal to pressure test any relevant value message
Support and execute RWE plans and strategies
Support shaping the RWE practice design by means of capability building through personal development opportunities for the RWE practice and beyond, through guidance, coaching and mentoring and by recruiting in case of organizational gaps
Help setting the vision, mission and transversal objectives addressing long term strategic imperatives
Actively contribute to cross-functional business projects
Contribute to the interpretation of analysis in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Partner with external thought leadership in academia, healthcare delivery and across industry to gain new insights
Utilize internal and external networks to persuade, influence and build advocacy for environmental changes aligned with business objectives, including but not limited to, shaping the healthcare decision making process
Your background and competencies:
You hold a MSc degree in epidemiology or relevant scientific discipline,
You can demonstrate publication record in relevant peer-reviewed scientific and/or clinical journals.
You have previous experience in successfully delivering global and/or local RWE projects in the pharmaceutical industry, or with a recognized expert consultancy, or with an academic center of excellence.
You possess both an open mind and a hands-on and "walk the talk" attitude.
