About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Release Delivery Manager to coordinate and manage software releases across multiple development teams and portfolios within a large-scale agile environment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on bringing structure and alignment to complex delivery programmes, ensuring teams remain coordinated and releases are delivered smoothly and on schedule. You will work closely with development teams, Scrum Masters, testers, and senior stakeholders to manage release activities, dependencies, and planning processes across multiple parallel workstreams.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in release management or agile delivery and be comfortable operating within a SAFe or hybrid SAFe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and manage release planning activities across multiple teams and portfolios
  2. Align release calendars, milestones, and delivery schedules
  3. Support and facilitate PI Planning activities
  4. Coordinate Scrum ceremonies and cross-team delivery activities
  5. Work closely with developers, testers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and delivery leads
  6. Identify, manage, and communicate dependencies across teams and projects
  7. Monitor release readiness and help remove delivery blockers
  8. Ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  9. Support continuous improvement of release and delivery processes
  10. Maintain visibility of progress, risks, and release status across the wider programme

Required Experience
  1. Proven experience as a Release Manager, Release Delivery Manager, Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or similar delivery-focused role
  2. Experience working within SAFe or hybrid SAFe environments
  3. Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks
  4. Experience coordinating delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage dependencies and release activities at scale
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Nice to Have
  1. SAFe certification
  2. Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) experience
  3. Previous experience within software development organisations
  4. Experience supporting large-scale transformation or delivery programmes
  5. Exposure to Scrum of Scrums or multi-team coordination frameworks

Technical Environment
You will be working alongside software engineering teams operating across both front-end and back-end development, including technologies such as:
  1. Angular
  2. Java
