Release Project ManagerOne of the worlds leading financial services company's are seeking an experienced Release Project Manager to join their team delivering on a major business change and regulatory portfolio. The company in question are recognised as one of the world leaders in the investment space and are currently running a number of major business critical programmes of work spanning delivery/implementation and major business change and Operational Risk. They require a heavy hitting, experienced Release Project Manager with a strong background delivering complex business change and regulatory operational risk transformation projects.
The role of Release Project Manager will entail the successful candidate to oversee the release of new Operational Risk and Control software (ORAC) within Operational Risk Management Framework Programme. Release Managers will report directly to System Work stream Lead and take responsibility for the planning and execution of the release against wider programme plans.
The role is offering a 6 month contract paying up to £800 per day and will be based in Canary Wharf.
To be considered for the role of Release Project Manager you will have:
- Advanced knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle.
- Multiple years' experience of delivery in large-scale systems implementations projects within the Financial Services industry sector (GRC)
- Demonstrable track record of ability to coordinate and structure cross-functional resource teams.
- Demonstrable track record of effective team leadership and analytical skills.
- Credible with internal and external stakeholders to senior management level.
- High integrity - able to deal with highly confidential and market sensitive information.
- Extensive Operational Risk experience.
- Prince 2 or equivalent qualification.
Release Management - 80%
- Accountable for creation, ownership and delivery of release delivery plan to incorporate analysis, design, build, test and Go-Live milestones.
- Responsible for coordination of workload for support team of Business Analysts and vendor resources.
- Manage and track to closure risks and issues against the release including escalation of programme risks and issues.
- Work with PMO to monitor KPI's, project resource allocation, coordinate release plans across programme.
- Coordinate and report on requirements gathering, schedules, scope changes.
- Participate in governance of programme including reporting in to Programme Status Meeting where required.
Stakeholder Management - 20%
- Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders within System work stream as well as wider ORF Programme.
- Identify and escalate emerging risks PMO and work stream lead. Actively manage and report on issues, assumptions, dependencies and scope changes to the relevant governance forums within the Programme.
- Prepare weekly reports (or as required) on release status.
