Risk Analyst - Assurance/Audit

Marcus Donald are currently looking for a Risk Analyst to start a new contract role in London for one of our financial client's based in Canary Wharf.

The Ideal Risk Analyst will have:

• Experience in audit along with an understanding of the relationship between risk, controls and assurance.
• A good working knowledge on how Price Reporting Agencies work and specifically the Price Assessment process across commodity markets.
• Excellent business partnering and communications skills.

The role includes but is not limited to undertaking a risk based assessment using standard audit methodology including:

• Supporting the planning of the assurance review - defining and assessing risks; identifying expected and actual control processes; and developing, executing and documenting tests of control design
• Carrying out fieldwork testing - developing and performing methodical design and control effectiveness tests using generally accepted sampling and assessment techniques
• Reporting - producing concise and readable audit reports and supporting documents
• Risk and control assessment of commodity price assessment processes, focusing on business implemented changes
• An understanding of the IOSCO principles, and their application across both Oil and Non-Oil
• Experience in Metals, Oil, Power/Energy, Shipping or Agriculture trading desks would be an advantage.
