Job Description:
Responsible for the BSC and RNC (RXI/RBS) following issues;
- Typical Operation and Maintenance tasks such as system monitoring, performing backups and fault management (both hardware and software) are at the core of the job. End-to-end O&M, troubleshooting TT creation & update.
- Execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual O&M routines.
- Perform Preventive and Corrective routines (both hardware and software).
- The job implies constant communication with the costumer in responding to their requests and inquiries. Support for Software upgrades, engineering, RAN/UTRAN support
- O&M Knowledge transfer to local staff/O&M customer engineers
- Trace creation and analysis. KPI monitoring. Tuning and optimization support (RF performance monitoring eg PS/CS drops, RRC failures, RSSI etc & RF parameter changes).
Support on;
- BSC/RNC Installation, Configuration, RBS Commissioning/Integration (site integration into OSS, RBS, RXI integration with RNC, RNC integration with SGSN/MSC), RXI Configuration, acceptance testing
- OSS-RC, EMAS, MOSHELL & MOBATCH
- Secure 2G/3G access BSC/RNC node System availability and performance.
- Identifies gaps in customer operational workflows and daily maintenance routines.
- Lead the customer personnel to do the operation and maintenance following the procedures.
- Secure knowledge sharing with the customer personnel.
- Exchange Information about ongoing activities, performance, operation, faults and time reporting.
- Accountable for improvements implementations
- Accountable for the 24 x 7 escalation routines.
- Accountable for Network/Nodes access defects and outages to resolution
Experience
- At least 3 years of Experience in Operation & Maintenance or similar duties
- Experience in field maintenance O&M routines.
- Work experience in BSC, RBS, RNC, RXI, Mini Link E.
Competence
- Good Knowledge in 2G and 3G RAN Network nodes
- Ericsson RAN, UTRAN RNC,RXI & 3xxx RBS Integration & O&M, UTRAN Protocols, UMTS Cell Planning & 3G Network Optimization
- Well developed skills in communication, training would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of Maintenance - Operations preventive and corrective tasks.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Understanding of performance analysis and measures for the specific area.
- Through understanding of 3G RAN administration and operations workflows and routines according with specific tools.
- Ability to works hands on emergencies and/or urgencies.
- Ability to engage and interact with technical staff.
- Good Knowledge in RF parameters, planning.
- Good Knowledge in APZ , and AXE 810 hardware.
- Good Knowledge in BSC, RBS, RXI, RNC and Node-B.
- Good Knowledge in Transmission networking.
- Good Knowledge of the Ericsson's Product Portfolio.
- Good initiative and capacity to solve problems.
- English proficiency.
