Client in San Antonio seeking Ruby Developers for a contract to hire opportunity!  The Ruby Developer will be responsible for overall system software design, development, implementation and support of the Client's Provisioning and other key Applications.  The design is a distributed application running on DB2 and other IBM Middleware to include MQ Series, WebSphere.  Qualified candidates will have a clear understanding of Real Time distributed transactions, wireless communications, performance benchmarking and database technology. 

Requirements include:  

  • 3-5 years experience designing & developing software using Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with IBM Middleware is highly desired (WebSphere, MQ Series).
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux is preferred, but must have experience with some UNIX Flavor.
  • Experience with Mission-Critical, High Performance Apps.
  • B.S. Degree.
Pluses include: JQuery.
  • Capistrano.
  • Utility Industry experience.
  • Web Services experience (SOAP/REST).
  • JavaScript/Play experience.
