Duration: 6 months, with expected extension to summer 2027

Workload: Full time

Language: Fluent Dutch, spoken and written. Good English for SAP terminology and documentation

Travel Requirements: On site. Home working only with the manager’s prior agreement

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Map the current shutdown preparation process, run today in Excel and MS Project, with the shutdown team, work preparers, production and the stores, and decide which tasks repeat and can be standardised.

• Draw the target process and the SAP PM structure behind it: functional locations, equipment, task lists, maintenance plans, work orders, bills of material, spare parts and document links.

• Write a plan of approach with scope, timing, roles and success criteria, and agree it with maintenance management.

• Turn the recurring tasks on the pilot installation into task lists and maintenance plans in SAP PM.

• Link spare parts and materials to the tasks so the requirement for each shutdown can be listed and reserved.

• Attach procedures, checklists and permits to the objects and tasks they belong to.

• Set up how progress on preparation and execution gets followed, through standard reports or list views in SAP PM.

• Work with the internal SAP key users and IT where configuration or master data has to change. Custom development is out of scope.

• Write short working instructions and training material, train the shutdown coordinators, work preparers and maintenance staff, and support them on the floor through the pilot shutdown.

• Evaluate the pilot, roll the approach out to the remaining shutdowns with feedback sessions after each one, and hand the documented process to the key users. Report progress and risks to the Shutdown and Maintenance Manager.

REQUIRED PROFILE

• Proven experience setting up or reworking a maintenance or shutdown process in SAP PM, ideally including a move off Excel or MS Project.

• Expert user of SAP PM: functional locations, equipment, task lists, maintenance plans on strategy and on time, notifications, work orders, bills of material and material reservations.

• At least eight years in maintenance planning, work preparation or shutdown coordination.

• Shutdown preparation: scoping, job packages, permits, releases, spare parts and contractor coordination.

• Technical background, a bachelor in electromechanical or mechanical engineering or the equivalent through experience, enough to read industrial plant and maintenance work.

• A business-side role. The brief is the process and the SAP PM setup. ABAP, configuration and development knowledge are not required.

• Able to train and coach users of mixed SAP ability, and to get experienced maintenance staff behind a new way of working.

• MS Project and advanced Excel are a plus.
