SAP Product Costing & Manufacturing Finance - 12+ Months

My client, a leading global FMCG organisation, is seeking a Senior SAP Product Costing & Manufacturing Finance Specialist to support manufacturing finance and plant accounting activities across the EMEA region. This role combines deep expertise in SAP costing processes with strong financial and operational accounting knowledge, ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, financial reporting, and manufacturing performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for SAP Product Costing, Plant Accounting, and Manufacturing Finance processes across multiple EMEA manufacturing sites.
• Manage product costing activities including month-end close, inventory valuation, standard cost calculations, budgeting, and manufacturing cost reporting.
• Partner with finance, operations, and technology teams to resolve complex SAP FI/CO and costing-related issues and drive process efficiency.
• Analyse manufacturing performance, monitor key cost drivers including materials, labour, overheads, and depreciation, and provide actionable business insights.
• Support audits, financial controls, compliance requirements, and SAP S/4HANA transformation and optimisation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, consumer goods, or industrial production environments.
• Strong knowledge of product costing, manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and financial reporting.
• Advanced SAP FI/CO knowledge, including Product Costing (PC), Cost Centre Accounting (CCA), and preferably CO-PA.
• Good understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting standards.
• Fluent English with strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CMA, CA, CPA, or equivalent).
• SAP S/4HANA implementation or support experience.
• Experience working within Shared Services or Global Business Services environments.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and statutory reporting.
• Experience supporting multi-country EMEA manufacturing operations.
