My client in Amsterdam, The Netherlands is looking for an SAP Programme Manager.
Specific experience
We are looking for a seasoned senior program manager, with broad international experience in managing complex projects and programs. Ideally we're looking for someone with strong procurement knowledge in a global shared service environment based on a SAP solution suite. We are looking for some who has matured political skills and is able to work pragmatically with different stakeholders, provide sustainable structure and can contribute to building a resilient program organization. The role is full time, requires flexibility, is not bound to regular office hours, and might include some international travel.
Required knowledge (general)
- Comprehensive knowledge of programme and project management concepts, processes and techniques including MSP and PRINCE II
- Experience with complex global projects and programs - including a deep understanding of the potential pitfalls business complexity on global scale.
- Demonstrated strong issue/problem resolution abilities - ability to think creatively and systematically to resolve issues
- Strong stakeholder/relationship management - good relationships in place with key individuals in local operating companies (ability to get things done')
- Demonstrated challenging approach - ability to challenge team on best approach, whether the timescales are appropriate business interests are adequately safeguarded
Background:
Global Business Services (GBS) is setting up a Financial Shared Services (FSS) and a Global Purchasing Organization (GPCo) which together with the Master Data Management (MDM) project forms the XXX programme. The XXX programme, a high priority and high profile programme, with an estimated investment of €200 million is about changing the client's purchasing capability from a centre of excellence operating model towards a predominantly centre-led and buy-sell purchasing model. We're looking for someone who can fulfil the role of Program Manager. The Programme Manager will, as part of a team responsible for the successful execution of the Programme. They will need to define the phase deliverables, tracks milestones and expenses of all central activities, working with business and IT lead in the operating companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible to deliver project(s) within Programme as greed upon during the plan stage.
- Ensure business requirements are translated into solutions that are in line with the IT strategy and enterprise architecture and adhere to defined technology, data and security standards
- Manages and mitigates risks and issues that could influence successful execution.
- Provides day-to-day Programme execution stakeholder management towards Business sponsors, IT
leadership and OpCo's, functions
- Manages integration/dependencies within own and across initiatives, working closely with peers and program managers.
- Provides active steering of initiatives in programme. Acts as programme/project representative towards (senior) management of OpCo, Function and Region and can be delegated by BRM to take up senior supplier representation on project boards.
- Reports progress, issues and risks. Ensure deviations from plans are brought to the early attention of (senior) management and corrective action is taken
- Ensure solutions are handed over to the Global Operations organization in an orderly fashion, meeting agreed Service Delivery Acceptance criteria and as part of a defined service that can be offered to OpCo's
- Ensure the provision of suitably skilled resources, working closely together with Global Project Management and Global Competency Management to meet programme and project requirements, in line with agreed sourcing strategy and preferred vendor contracts as applicable
- Identify source/resourcing options ensuring optimal value for money and quality in conjunction with the
Global Sourcing & Security Manager
- Is responsible for the financial management of the programme.
- Active management of our delivery partners
- Ensures adherence of project to methodology (HDM) and policy and procedures.
- Ensure plans is achievable and can be supported
- Disciplined project execution, with focus on issue and risk management
- Track against the budget and business case
Dutch Speaking Assignment.
Start: 4th February 2013.
