Description
For an ongoing S/4HANA transformation at a well-known manufacturing company, we’re looking for an experienced Test, Migration and Cutover Manager. You’ll own deployment and readiness through to go-live.
- Start: Q1 2027
- Location: Frankfurt, a mix of on-site and remote, with travel to several sites
- Capacity: Full-time
- Duration: Long-term, through go-live and hypercare
- Contract: ANÜ (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung)
- Language: Fluent German required
Tasks
Test management
- Build the programme-wide test concept: test strategy, test phases (integration, E2E, regression, UAT), and entry and exit criteria
- Support the selection and rollout of a test management tool, integrated with Jira and Confluence
- Set up risk-based testing, and plan and steer the test cycles
- Own defect management and test reporting (KPIs) for programme leadership and the steering committees
Migration management
- Steer data migration on the functional side (no technical build), including the migration plan and its dependencies on test and cutover
- Plan, run and evaluate mock loads and trial migrations
- Monitor data quality and escalate when it slips
Cutover management
- Write the cutover strategy and a detailed cutover plan
- Run dress rehearsals and prepare go/no-go criteria and decision papers
- Lead the production cutover and the handover to hypercare
Key skills
- Several years of test, migration and cutover management on complex SAP programmes, ideally S/4HANA
- Proven track record of leading production cutovers and parallel test cycles in multi-stream programmes
- Strong knowledge of risk-based testing and defect management; SAP Activate and PMI/PRINCE2 are a plus
- Confident with Jira and Confluence
- Assertive with business teams, sub-projects and vendors, including under time pressure
- Experience in comparable external lead roles (freelance or interim)
- Manufacturing or FMCG experience is a plus
