Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Technical Director to play a pivotal leadership role within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programme.
This is a strategic leadership position, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end technical landscape across a complex, multi-country implementation. You will act as the technical authority, partnering closely with business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the programme while aligning technology with wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership across a global SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation.
- Define and oversee the end-to-end technical architecture, ensuring seamless integration across all technology components.
- Lead the technical strategy for legacy system transformation and migration into the S/4HANA landscape.
- Work closely with business and IT leadership to ensure technical solutions support wider organisational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across infrastructure, integration, security and SAP workstreams.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies and governance throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical advisor to senior stakeholders and programme leadership.
- Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA implementation programmes, ideally within Finance.
- Strong understanding of legacy system transformation and complex migration strategies.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, multi-country/global SAP implementations.
- Broad technical knowledge across the wider SAP ecosystem, including integration technologies (such as MuleSoft), infrastructure, and enterprise architecture—not solely SAP application delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience within Retail or FMCG environments.
- Experience operating at Director or Technical Leadership level within enterprise transformation programmes.
