Description

Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for x2 Scala Developers on a 6 months contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable and efficient Back End services and APIs using Scala and Play Framework.
  • Implement concurrency and distributed systems using Akka Actors and Streams.
  • Utilize functional programming concepts and libraries such as Cats to write clean and maintainable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust and scalable solutions.
  • Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure the quality of codebase.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring timely resolution.

    • Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Scala Developer, with a strong understanding of functional programming principles.
  • Proficiency in Scala programming language and familiarity with Play Framework, Akka, Cats, and HTTP technologies.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
