Dynamic Fortune 500 organization is seeking a top notch candidate to work on large scale, high visibility project.
This is a blended role: Scrum Master/Senior Project Manager. This company is seeking a candidate that will work on a large data project.
The environment is Agile Methodology. This group needs a candidate that has worked as a Scrum Master (Not just paper certified).
Core Responsibilities
ScrumMaster Role
The ScrumMaster serves the Delivery Team and Product Owner. He or she is responsible for managing the internal Scrum team's day-to-day activities and protecting the team from distraction.
- Acts as a coach and facilitator for the Scrum Team
- Is an expert on Agile Methodology, Agile Ceremonies, and Best Practices
- Has no management authority
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Remove delivery team roadblocks
- Ensure adherence to Agile Methods and Practices
- Lead Sprint Planning, Backlog Refining, Standup, and Retrospective Scrum Ceremonies
- Track the progress of User Stories throughout the sprint and release
- Help the Product Owner and Tech Analyst plan sprints/releases
- Monitor and balance tasks among the delivery team
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Tech Analyst to maintain backlog
- Negotiate scope changes with the Product Owner

- Negotiate scope changes with the Product Owner
- Facilitate prioritization of stores and the completion of Acceptance Criteria with the Product Owner/Tech Analyst
- Support the team as they refine stories to add technical details, identify dependencies, etc.
- Monitor and adjust load-balancing of tasks among the delivery team

- Current, accurate data in VersionOne (Product Backlog, Sprints, Metrics, etc. are all thorough and high quality)

- Prepare and send Sprint Review Deck to stakeholders each sprint
- Report/mitigate risks within team
- Escalate delivery/capacity issues to the Product Owner/PM
- Assist PM with Assured Gate Activities & Deliverables as well as Project Status, Risks & Issues

Project Manager Role
The Project Manager is responsible for tracking team progress, completing traditional PM activities such as financials and scheduling, as well as engaging external teams.
- Supports the delivery team and Scrum Master with logistics, coordination, and reporting
- Engages Tech Partners and dependency teams
- Tackles obstacles outside the control of the delivery team
- Does a lot of behind the scenes work
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Remove roadblocks outside of delivery team control
- Coordinate with external stakeholders and dependency teams to ensure a successful release, for example:
- IT/Net Ops
- Training
- Legal
- Supply Chain
- Communications
- Security
- Privacy
- Conduct PM activities according to Cox PM Playbook, such as:
- Prepare PMLC and Assured gate deliverables
- Maintain PPM schedule, financials, risks and issues
- Schedule and Coordinate program/project status meeting and updates
- Measure and monitor delivery effort
- Collaborate with Scrum Master to ensure proper program/project status reporting
