Description
Security Analyst Position (Candidate must have a current Security + certification)
Duties:
- Participates as a member of a team and prepares Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation
- Maintains archives of C&A documents, research and analysis, as well as team archives
- Assists Team Lead and Engineers in preparation of documentation/deliverables and conduct of C&A efforts
- Assists with the e valuation of the security posture of systems, in order to provide recommendations to the Certifying Authority (CA) and the Designated Accrediting Authority (DAA)
- Reviews work products for correctness and adherence to DIACAP and other Information Assurance (IA) Standards
- Tracks progress against work schedules
- Interfaces with external customers to provide IA subject matter expertise throughout the system development life cycle
- Evaluates and assesses compliance with established IA policies and regulations
- Performs research, writes and edits C&A documentation based on the Department of Defense (DoD) DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) requirements
- Helps develop and implement solutions according to DoD, IATO, and ATO requirements
- Participates in C&A site visits as a team member
- Plans and estimates documentation requirements for projects
- Unit tests users' guides, manuals, and procedural documentation against written procedures
- Attends team/customer meetings as IA representative
- Performs Physical Security Assessments as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS Degree with 2 to 4 years experience
- Experience as a Technical Writer in a government IT environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Superior communication and research/analysis skills
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software and flow charting/diagramming software
- Must be able to pass a DoD background check
- Ability to Travel is required
