Job Description
We need a great WordPress and Java Developer to join our small but talented team as we grow.

Our plugin lets users of WordPress sites automatically push content to the iCopyright service, get paid when others license their articles, and legally post stories written by other publishers like Investors Business Daily, the Chicago Tribune, the Miami Herald, the National Post, and hundreds more. It communicates with our servers using REST. We're looking for a team member who can extend our server-side API as well as build out the plugin that communicates with it.

Skills & Requirements
Our server software is built on top of these open-source tools and technologies:
  • Linux
  • Apache, Tomcat
  • Solr
  • PostgreSQL
  • Java
  • Hibernate, Velocity, Spring, Guice, Guava, Commons, etc.
  • Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, etc.
  • HTML, CSS, jQuery
  • Rackspace and Amazon cloud services

  • This position is a full time contract position, paid hourly, telecommute only (we're a virtual company, spread out across the world). We are a team of small, dedicated professionals, and we are very picky about whom we ask to join us. The optimal candidate will:
  • Be a superb, experienced, professional software developer
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and planning skills
  • Have experience through the full development cycle
  • Demonstrate WordPress custom plugin development
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed team
