We help brands like Accor Group, Ibis Hotels, Novotel and Uniworld Cruises engage their teams with effective ongoing training via mobile devices, VR and rich media.Seb Azzo was started by Sebastian Hefel and Michael Azzopardi in 2013 to innovate in the e-learning sector, using human-centric design as the primary mode of thinking.
We are looking for an ambitious UI designer (Front-end digital designer) who is passionate about creating attractive, clean and user-centred interfaces. In this role you will work with an agile team of UX (User Experience) designers to create sophisticated digital learning products.
This is a remote role with flexible hours.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years experience creating user interfaces that have impacted thousands of users
- A portfolio featuring relevant work examples
- The ability to articulate and discuss your work and subject clearly
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken in the English language
- Confident in your work without becoming too attached to your designs when presented with constructive feedback from your team
- Comfortable with presenting and discussing your work with clients and multi disciplinary teams
- Be able to work with a remote, agile-oriented team
- Understanding of the digital design process and comfortable iterative design
- Assets: Understanding of iconography, typography, proficient with Sketch and/or Photoshop, familiar with productivity tools like Asana, Trello and Slack, basic understanding of web technology
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the leadership and UX team to shape key interfaces for a variety of e-learning products
- Practising user-centered design through the consideration of audience needs, research findings, technical limitations and business requirements
- Creating thoughtful and appropriate solutions to interface challenges of all sizes while collaborating with a multi disciplinary team
- To independently organise and coordinate user testing sessions when required
- Producing pixel perfect, high-fidelity mockups and designs
- Working closely with an internal development team on building a pixel perfect front-end including providing ongoing feedback
- Accessing and developing new ideas and concepts by performing user research as well as testing prototypes directly with users to facilitate your learning curve
- Producing sketches and moodboards when needed to support the design process and communicate ideas with client and team

Ongoing training
Upon signing the contract, Seb Azzo team members receive a Udemy account and budget to spend on online courses — we encourage ongoing training around any area of interest. All we ask for is a 20min team presentation after you’ve finished a course, sharing knowledge with the team is a big part of our company culture.
Flexible hours
We encourage the team to adopt their own working hours and build a routine that best fits their personality. Some prefer the 9 to 5, others prefer to integrate their work throughout the day in smaller chunks. As long as milestones and deadlines are met with high quality output, we’re happy. The only fixture is our daily standup at 9:30am GMT during which the whole team meets on google hangouts for a daily catchup.

Own products and ideas
Beyond the client work, we work on our own ideas and products in equal parts. The team is encouraged to put forward ideas, and if your is selected and decide to take the lead, you will get equity and a key role to push it forward. Validated ideas are always given a chance to grow.
An open design process
At Seb Azzo, designers and developers work around a strong UXD (User Experience Design) process. This means less small, irritating design jobs and longer, more ambitious user-centric design projects which are very clearly specified. But what’s more exciting, our process is open and fully transparent. End users and clients get visibility into what we do, into each prototype and iteration, and we regularly go back to them for feedback and validation.
