We currently require Selenium/Java Tester with following requirements for 10 months:-

A large scale consultancy (FTSE 500)
Role:-
Tester in a Feature Team where they are following Agile and Lean Product Development practices.
As a tester you will be the team's centre of competency around testing, while at the same time participate in the team's work and take whatever tasks that is required for the team to succeed in their delivery.
Responsibilities:-
You will be designing and executing tests for our web-based shipping applications. We're doing deep business logic tests of a set of complex shipping application.
Both manual and automated test are required. This will be in close collaboration with our developers.
We're expecting you to be pro-active, both in finding out what needs to be tested and in helping the developers to plan their own testing.
The client likes to automate tests fairly quickly, so you also need you to be very familiar with test automation.
You will help to get the developers more involved in automated testing; be able to run the automated tests against the local development environments.
Development tools used: Selenium, Eclipse, QUnit, Play
Technical Skills Required:-
Certified at least to ISEB/ISTQB "Foundation" level
Fluent written and spoken English
2 years of Full time software testing in the immediate past, including at least 1 year of test automation, preceded by either experience of or education in modern software development techniques.
Experience in testing webapps/websites, and have knowledge of the various browser quirks. Need to support a broad selection of browsers, versions, languages and operating systems.
They are using a custom-built framework in Java to execute Selenium tests. They use Eclipse when they develop the tests.

Java experience
Strong Selenium experience on at least 2 projects. They prefer at least 1 year of experience on an E-commerce web site
Experience of working with a test automation framework
Desired Skills:
QUnit (JavaScript based unit testing in the browser)
Experience with the Play! Framework (their tests use QUnit and selenium)
HtmlUnit or some other headless tool (we'd like to run some of the tests without a browser getting in the way)
Experience with content management systems
