SENIOR AUDIT MANAGER - OPERATIONS - FINANCIAL SERVICES

The Senior Audit Manager plays a key role in helping set the direction of the audit function and influencing changes to the control environment within the UK&I, EMEA and APAC so that risk is managed effectively. This position gives the holder a broad insight into all aspects of the business, with high levels of exposure to senior management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Takes a lead role in assisting the Regional Head of Audit in developing the annual Internal Audit activity plan. Manages ongoing relationships with the key senior stakeholders, to ensure the plan stays up to date and aligned to strategic priorities and key risks.
* Develops the scope of internal audit reviews and agrees them with management.
* Manages internal audits. Coordinates the audit process with key stakeholders, manages the activities of other internal auditors (local and overseas) assigned to the project, and reviews the quality of work performed.
* Reviews draft audit reports, and agrees the findings and proposed actions with the business owners. Present findings to senior managers of the business and the Global Internal Audit Executive management team.
* Coaches and mentors team members to help drive greater department effectiveness.
* Acts as the liaison with other regional audits teams, so that we act as a single audit function.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Relevant (professional services or industry) post qualified experience.
* Experience of working in a multinational environment.
* Awareness of relevant IT subject matter areas (eg data security; software development methodologies)
* Relevant professional qualifications (eg ACA)
* 'Big 4' and/or internal audit experience desirable.
* Influencing skills and gravitas, so that senior management will buy-in to changes being proposed.
