Description
Summary- Responsible for consulting with the business and IT in solving complex business problems through implementation of new processes or technology solutions.
- Manage multiple, concurrent initiatives or projects through the early stages of definition and justification.
- Manage initiatives entering pre-feasibility and feasibility analysis in determining priority for funding and scheduling.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions to elicit business and functional requirements on complex initiatives across multiple business owners.
- Facilitate discussions to bring consensus and agreement on requirements across a diverse group of business and IT representatives.
- Leverage an IT development background to identify technical solutions for complex problems.
- Continue to support the project through implementation to ensure business benefits are achieved and ensure the business adopts the process and technology changes.
- Business Analyst to serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical and related process solutions to meet user needs.
- Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities.
- Be an expert in capturing requirements, building strong documentation, and communicating effectively with offshore development teams.
- Experience working in an iterative application development model.
- Requires skills while working with the business such as influencing, negotiation, and building consensus.
- Responsibilities will include work on highly complex projects with multiple stakeholders in various locations.
- Responsible for working with the business to manage the Requirement and User Acceptance testing processes for new functionality including documentation, training, issue management, etc.
- Responsible for project metrics for requirements, design, and development.
- Working in Agile development environment, other cross-functional duties as needed (may include but not limited to testing, test case development, test data creation, etc.)
- Responsibilities and projects will be in support of engagement practice which includes data collection and reporting systems related to Engagement.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Business Analyst experience (6 to 8 years)
- Project Management experience
- Undergraduate degree (in business or IT preferred)
- Experience working with offshore development teams preferred
- Experience working in short iterative development life cycles
- Great communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
