Senior Buyer

Key Responsibilities
l Identify and facilitate the addition of new products and product lines into the catalogue.
Monitor existing catalogue performance and make strategic product trade-offs based on performance.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced Buyer who can research the target categories and develop implementation plans to acquire brands to trade with our platform and subsequently launch new products to our customers.
General Responsibilities:
Facilitate the addition of new products
Identify and introduce new product lines
Negotiate initial stock orders or drop ship arrangements
Manage and direct product listing associates on new product key features, pricing, etc.
Review and approve new product pages to ensure engaging content that will convert
Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships
Monitor catalogue, analyze changes in sales patterns and adjust pricing and/or merchandising accordingly
Attend trade and distributor shows to identify growth opportunities
Review industry periodicals, trade journals & catalogues for industry trends
Manage buying volume with €15-20 million budget
Ideal candidates should have:
Relevant Experience: 8 to 10 years of total working experience
Educational background: Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or International
Trade
Professional background: 5 years of more in retail and/or consumer brands industry
Personal skills:
The incumbent will have hands-on work experience in merchandising and/or sourcing responsibilities with retail related organizations or international trading agencies. Savvy knowledge of required consumer categories and direct relationships with principal brands and/or suppliers will be essential to perform well in this job role.
The successful incumbent should thrive in an independent role and well organized with business priorities and relationships. Excellent inter-personal skills are required to bridge external and cross-border relationships effectively to achieve win-win results.
The incumbent should be prepared to adapt to an entrepreneurial culture and fast-changing business environment. Fluency in English and fluent/native local European language will be required.
