Senior Cisco Network Engineer - 12 weeks Tipperary.
My client a leading global name is in urgent need of a talented and experienced Cisco Senior Network engineer to join them on a contract basis. This will be initial 12 weeks it could extend there after.
The Network Engineer will be a member of the team that is responsible for the Wide Area and Local Area networks including the Management of the Data Center Network. The successful candidate will serve as the technical "guiding light" with respect to internetworking technologies in the company. This individual will design, implement and support Telecommunications related activities to enable Network Services used by the new provider employees and Sales Force. This person will report directly to the Director of Network Services.
You will Lead the strategy for network architecture and network services to support data, voice, video, telephony, and other network dependent technologies. You will maintain the overall Network Hardware and Software Architecture Framework. You will develop and implements standards, procedures, and processes for the network group. Candidates will Produces architectural network designs for large-scale networks. You will Configure and troubleshoot computer networks. Maintains LAN/WAN/wireless/VoIP operations by working with network facility and hardware/software vendors to ensure timely problem resolution.
You will have experience with enterprise class network management/monitoring systems is desired (Airwave, Spectrum, Netcool, Performance Center, etc.) Candidate should be considered a LAN/WAN expert with respect to the configuration, implementation and support of the responsible LAN/WAN technologies including Internet routing, DNS Hosting, E-commerce Internetworking best practices. You will have Firm working knowledge of Cisco technologies that include, but are not limited to all major models of IOS and NX-OS based Routers/Switches (Cisco Nexus, Catalyst Switches). General working knowledge of Cisco wireless, Proxy technologies, MPLS BGP/VRFs and IT security best practices and Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortigate Firewall and Cisco Telepresence, experience a plus
