Description
A client of our in Belgium is looking for a Senior Business intelligence Cognos developer to work on a contract basis in Brussels. The Developer should be knowledgeable on Cognos inner cogs to help the business in their Cognos developments adding extra JavaScript to get a totally customized experience for our end-users.
The client is going through a large data warehousing and BI projects, the senior BI Cognos developer will be responsible for developing Cognos V10.2 reports according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Cognos BI reports in v10
- Liaise with QA analyst to ensure requirement compliance and test coverage
- Integrate with an agile scrum team.
- Take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments
- liaise with UI development team to undertake proof of concept/interactive design tasks as necessary to prove dashboards and reports will meet requirements and can be integrated in user interface package/custom layouts.
Technical skill requirements:
- More than 5 + years of IBM Cognos (V10.2 a plus)
- 5 years of experience in building industry proven models/reports for the Cognos platform.
- Framework manger
- Report studio
- SQL querying over Oracle experience
- Experience with Cognos generated SQL review/tuning
- Bachelor or masters of science in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent.
