Senior Data Solution Architect – AWS & Snowflake
Remobi | Fully Remote | B2B/Freelance/Contract | Until Sept 2027 (initial) | Portugal preferred (also available for candidates in Spain/Poland/Croatia)
We are Remobi - we help businesses scale and innovate through high-performing, remote nearshore tech teams.
We're hiring a Senior Data Solution Architect to drive the design, implementation, and optimisation of data-driven solutions across a portfolio of large-scale projects for a global energy technology company.
This is a highly technical yet business-facing role - you'll work alongside 3-5 fellow Solution Architects supporting a team of 50+ developers and 5-7 Product Managers, providing architectural direction, solution design, and coding best practices across the portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end architecture design for large-scale data solutions on AWS and Snowflake
- Define coding standards, best practices, and service usage patterns for developers
- Serve as the central point of contact for technical guidance across multiple projects
- Partner with product managers to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Work with multicultural, cross-functional teams to align architecture with business objectives
- Present architectural decisions and solution designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Act as the primary technical contact for complex project challenges
What We're Looking For
Must-have:
- Extensive experience as a Solution Architect on large-scale AWS implementations
- Strong knowledge of AWS services: S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora, CloudFront, SQS, CloudWatch, SageMaker, and AWS CDK
- Proven Snowflake architecture and data integration expertise
- Ability to lead in multicultural, cross-functional environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- AWS certifications
