Description
Technical Analysis and design
- Assess and analyze business needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor needs.
- Lead detailed design phases for small to large projects/programs
- Prepare high level and detailed technical specifications following PLC guiding principle including component reusability, data sharing and security.
- Collaborate with Project Manager to determines best choice between internal development, applications interfacing, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
- Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Participate in evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises.
- Manage application datamodeling and collaborate with DBA to create the best database structures.
- Organize and participates in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, programs and unit test plans.
Coding, Testing & Documentation
- Develop solution according to design phase
- Execute unit test, system, integration and acceptance test
- Provide documentation and training.
Planning, Implementation & Support
- Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for analysis, build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
- Perform performance tuning to meet SLA.
- Ensure on-call support of applications.
Relationships & Communication
- Manage communication with 3rd party vendors.
- Create good relationship with team members, IT and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings for technical design, decision making, problem solving and task implementation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to business, technology partners and senior management, selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience.
- Resolve conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate.
Development & Coaching
- Act as workstream leader to manage project scope related to datawarehouse
- Provide direction, expertise, feedback, coaching to junior staff.
- Enhance personal skills and knowledge (know your customer, know your organization).
