Senior Excel Developer/ Analyst Senior Excel Developer / Analyst - VBA - London My Client a leading Energy Trading Company ased in london is looking for a Senior Excel Developer / Analyst to work on the Framework Project to meet their immediate Business Critical Spreadsheet needs. The deliverables include:· Effective interpretation of functional and technical specifications.· Timely and quality delivery of fully tested solutions · Work individually or as part of a team with other developers to design, build , test and implement the software.· Adhere to the development methods and praces established across. · Perform unit testing and functional testing.· Produce concise and relevant user and technical documentation enhancement when required.· Maintain collaborative relationships within GTEL business users.· Assist in UAT and OAT. Assist on other project work where required.The candidate must have the following:· A high end skilled Excel developer with extensive development experience in Excel (using formulas and XL as the interface).· A high end skilled Excel developer with extensive development experience of Excel VBA including accessing Oracle databases using ADO.· In depth Front Office RAD development in a Trading environment using Microsoft Excel.· In depth experience of Energy Trading or Commodities Trading.· Good understanding of Derivatives pricing.· Good understanding of P&L pricing and reporting.· Very strong communication skills as this role involves direct liaison with the business community.All of the following:· Experience of full project life cycle· Experience of analysis for enhancements to production systems· Experience of creating business and functional requirements· Experience of system and user-acceptance testing (including definition of test cases)· Co-ordinate and influence business users to reconcile differences and to achieve consensus, while setting realistic expectations.· Understanding of data modelling and logical database design· Experience of working in complex business area.· Experience of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and Operational spreadsheet review process.This is a fantastic opportunity with a big client.
