Sr Financial Analyst
Description:
1. Primary focus for the senior level is to lead a team or NFS function performing the day to day NFS Finance and Accounting activities.
2. Reviews project financial data input to the project mgmt/accounting systems for accuracy and compliance to policy.
3. Coordinates project accounting information (opening, completion potential impairments etc.) with Regional Property Accounting.
4. Develops budgets, forecasts, analyzes, and monitors operating costs and expense budgets.
5. Leads and/or coordinates the analysis and review of cash forecasting reporting, in conjunction with the NFS Management and Regional Planning departments.
6. Reviews financial aspects of contracts and pay applications/invoices.
7. Identifies and analyzes activities (project capitalization, impairments, etc.) that may impact regional financial results and effectively communicates them to the financial leads region.
8. Prepares and/or reviews key management cost reports, ie Main Loan Fund Management Accountability Report (MMAR).
9. Identifies and manages cost trend data and schedule impacts and brings to attention of Project Manager and NFS Team.
10. Resolves invoicing issues with vendors, contractors and professional services providers. Support negotiations as compliant to KP requirements.
11. Prepares accruals and journal entries for month end close on operating costs; researches unusual variances during month end close.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
13. Works on assignments of diverse and complex scope.
14. Interprets less defined guidelines to make recommendations for process improvements and/or enhancements.
15. Requires complex planning to coordinate with other departments or resources.

Requirements:
BA in Finance or Accounting required
6+ years of direct relevant experience
Advanced MS Excel
Advanced MS Access
Demonstrated experience of Financial Analysis and Reporting at a Sr Level.
MS Powerpoint
Experience with SOX compliance and controls
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Strong Analysis Skills
Self Starter, ability to work independently
