Team Purpose:
The Financial Function is responsible for financial Controllership for 3 Entities within the UK Business, covering approximately 250 contracts.
Role Purpose: To lead the UK Controller Team, providing the standard outputs for the business and to be the lead controller for the 3 UK entities which combined are known as the UK business
Responsibilities/Accountability:
- Accurate and timely submission of monthly accounts per group timetable
- Consolidation using the Corporate MIS for the various entities using SAP, SAP BW and Hyperion
- Completion of various month end reporting files, attendance at both Monthly Business Reviews and Financial Reviews.
- Overall financial responsibility for the approval of pricing models, billing requests and approval on Purchase Orders
- Line management for a team of 3/4 people.
- Reporting to the Global Head of Controlling and Tax
- Business Partner to the Managing Director for the UK Business
- Leading on budget and forecast activities for the region
- Interfacing with the rest of the UK FP&A team and Group Finance
- Audit lead for the 3 UK Entities
- Main interface for FP&A activities in relation to the UK Business
- Ad hoc project Work
Skills/Experience
- Substantial consolidation experience, gained in a large company, ideally MNC
- Previous experience of managing and developing a high performing team
- Highly competent in Excel modelling
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good systems structure experience
- Previous exposure to working in multiple currencies
- Positive attitude towards continuous improvements
- Proven ability to identify and lead on initiatives
- Proven ability to provide reasoned challenge
- Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholder including BOM members
Qualification/Certification requirements
- Previous systems experience in SAP essential
- SAP BW and Hyperion advantageous
- Min 8 years PQE as a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
