SENIOR FRONT OFFICE DEVELOPER (QUANT)-TRADING DESK-ZURICHThe EMPLOYER
Our client is a top tier global bank, having an international presence and proposing a very broad range of services.
In order to reinforce the fixed income trading desk, they are looking for a permanent senior developer (Senior Manager/Associate Director level).
The purpose of the role is to reinforce the application; you will interface with front-office and middle-office operations (business coverage: Short Term Interest Rates trading business).
The ROLE
You will mainly provide a level 3 development support and you will consolidate STIR applications (complex applications covering pricing, curve construction, P&L reporting, etc.), you main duties will be:
- Ongoing development of the applications (according to client demands), mainly in MS Excel spreadsheets (VBA code, C# or Java)
- Documentation and standardization
- Implementation of best practices, IT related
- Development of strategic roadmap
- Ad hoc project and support on the trading floor, IT/quant development related
The REQUESTED profile
- Education or degree + experience and background in computer skills, language skills (development oriented - quant exposure)
- Strong Excel based development skills, financial industry experience and Fixed Income exposure (5-6+ years) in front office trading/sales
- Proven skills in complex C# and VBA programming (Java is a plus), strong database understanding and ability to use financial mathematics libraries
- Mathematical understanding of financial products (Interest Rate Swaps, Interest Rate Futures, FX-type products, FX Swaps, etc.)
- English fluent (German is a plus) and ability to communicate on a professional and technical way with traders
- Self starter, ability to work under pressure, to take ownership and to respect deadlines + ability to work in agile and structured methodologies
- Team player, ability to interact efficiently with local and remote team
- EU passport OR Swiss passport (or Swiss work permit)
