I am currently recruiting for a Senior Insurance Officer to work on a 6 month contract based in Bristol.
Main responsibilities.
- Dealing with public liability claims - including motor and property claims, liaising with surveyors, loss adjusters, Highway inspectors, solicitors, structural engineers & Arboricultural Officers.
- Arranging payments on ABW for all types of claims and renewal payments
- Responsible for raising invoices and credit notes where appropriate
- Dealing with both internal and external calls - with both general and complex queries
- Liaising with Avon Fire & Rescue Service - placing vehicles on and off cover.
- Registering Fire Brigade claims - and liaising with solicitors to determine liability
- Sending proof of NCD letters for employees within the Fire Brigade for their private use.
- Registering property, motor, miscellaneous and all other claims
Person Specification:
- Must have at extensive experience of working for in the Insurance Industry/Law Firm with preferably knowledge of working for a District/Unitary local Authority.
- Substantial experience of dealing with Property, Motor, Personal Injury, Employers Liability and Schools.
- Experience of Risk Management
- Well Developed Communication and negotiation Skills
- Able to work as part of a small team and on your own.
- Must be good with figures
